Welcome to the Sutton Theatres web site
You may have been aware in recent months that the management of the Sutton theatres (The Secombe in Sutton and The Cryer in Carshalton) is transferring away from London Borough of Sutton to a private company. As of this week, that transfer is complete and the theatres are now run by Sutton Theatres Trust.
We, as directors of Sutton Theatres, wish to welcome you again to the spaces and hope that together we can build theatres for Sutton to be proud of. Our vision for the venues is to fill them with a wide range of performance and entertainment. Much-loved community theatre groups will continue to use the spaces throughout the year, but now you will also see professional theatre, dance, comedy, circus and music for children and adults alike. We'll be bringing in exciting talent from London, the rest of the UK and even internationally, to entertain, surprise and challenge you.
Together with our team, will be working tirelessly to bring this vision for the theatres to life. It may take us a little time to evolve the venues. We hope that you will join us on that journey and enjoy seeing the venues reach their full potential. We cannot do it without you, our audiences. Our first season programme will be announced on July 22nd, with details of shows right through until 2016 to help you plan your visits.
